How to Reset Airpods to Factory Settings

 In this article, I'll show you how to factory reset your Apple iPhone's AirPods.

It’s no news that Apple devices come with tight security that makes any of their stolen gadgets useless until either unlocked or bypassed because it has been encrypted to prevent a third party.

If you don't want to return a stolen or borrowed Airpod, then here is the easiest way to reset your AirPods and make sure it is not trackable by the former owner.

So, how do you reset stolen Airpods from your iPhone? Here’s how.

How to Reset AirPods to Factory Settings

  1. Place the Airpod back into its case/charger
  2. Lift/open the lid after about 5 - 10 seconds
  3. Go to Settings on your iPhone device > Bluetooth > and click on the "i" you see in the circle beside the AirPods and click forget device.
  4. Next, leave the  lid of the case open with your AirPods inside
  5. Then hold the button located at the back of the charger case until a white or amber coloured light flashes between the AirPods.
  6. Now your airpods is as good as new, reconnect your device and you are good to go.
That's all on resetting your AirPods leaving it untraceable.


Can I Find my Stolen Airpods with the Serial Number? 

No, you can track your AirPods using their serial number, tracking can only be done from your iCloud if they're still connected and haven't been reset.
